All America Idle

ALL AMERICA IDLE

So this originally was a painting that was in the show “Made in America” which opened at the Trust gallery in Olde City on June 4, 2010.  The show was suppose to last the month of June but was shut down after two days for being “to controversial”, which I believe was just a horrible excuse to get the show out of there and make room for more expensive and less interesting art.  Anyway, I had a great time coming up with the concept and painting this piece so I wanted to do more with it.  The commentary for this painting is everything that’s wrong with/thriving in America in 2010. Drugs, violence, politics, television, obesity, religion, big business, etc. Also being that the first week of summer was quickly approaching I though this would make a great tee/tank.  I came back to my roots for this run of shirts, got a screen burned and did the printing myself at home with water based ink.

I only printed about 20 of these in the first run to start off and didn’t really sell them, just gave them away to friends and family as a gift to kick start this brutally hot June.  I am planning on printing more of these but I’m going to keep them off of this site and out of stores.  I want to try and keep these pretty limited for now and then see what happens.  If you really want one of these your best chance is to catch me in person or offer me a trade of something equally awesome.

Mad Shirts For Days

Bootleggin’ is my business, and business is good!

Well, the Phillies aren’t doing that good these days but the Flyers gave us the best playoff run many of us have ever seen.  You Philly sport fans are still the greatest, supporting your teams through the up’s and down’s.  How do I know? Because shirt sales have been through the roof lately and I thank every single person who’s been supporting Broad Street Bootlegs™ throughout the past year. In the past two weeks I’ve experienced record number sales in store and online and I am forever thankful.  Broad Street Bootlegs™ is a small DIY company and I take pride in every single shirt that goes through my hands trying to maintain consistent quality and customer satisfaction.  This week I released the Gray Phlyers™ design on a women’s shirt. (pictures coming soon).  Also a whole bunch of King Phil on Black shirts for women came in.

So, I’m all stocked up on all designs so there shouldn’t be any problems with back orders when ordering.  We all know the Phillies are going to bounce back and win the NL East again, but for now it’s a waiting game.  Get your original Broad Street Bootlegs™ gear and stand out in the crowded Philadelphia summer streets in style.

New Script

Finished some Broad Street Bootlegs™ script a few days ago. Gonna use it for stuff. Who knows, cozies, stickers, tank tops. Check back soon.
