BSB™ Football Logo

Just finished this new BSB™ design for football season.  I’m probably going to use it on promotional fliers or postcards.  I’m pretty happy with the way it turned out.  I fell in love with the font “Ballpark Script” a while back but didn’t feel like paying $49.00 for it so I found this similar font called “Ballpark Weiner” and had some fun with it.  I had to add the custom tails to the words and I though a football would look good in the empty space on the right. Overall a good design.  I hope you all like it.

King Earl™ Has Arrived

KING EARL™

These shirts were suppose to be released last week but there was a little hold-up.  Regardless, they’re here now and they’re ready to go.  This first batch was a fairly small run so I anticipate these selling out really fast.  I am going to keep these as a regular shirt in the BSB™ rotation but this first batch is market test of some sort, just to give me an idea of how fast they will sell.  So don’t hesitate, order now under the SHIRTS page.

They are also available in-store at Cheesesteak Tees 506 South Street Philadelphia.

Go Birds!

Giants Suck

Can the Phillies be the first team to win the National League Pennant 3 years in a row since 1942-1944 when the St. Louis Cardinals accomplished that feat?  Personally, I believe that once the bats come alive this series the Giants don’t stand a chance.

GO PHILS!!

Oh, and that logo is big as hell.  Go ahead and click it.  And please don’t steal it. Thanks.

San Fransisco Sucks

Well, we found out last night who the Phillies will be facing in this years NLDS.  This is a updated version of a shirt that I originally made in September 2009.  The original design was a hand cut  stencil with lots of little pieces which was a pain in the ass to apply to the screen. You can see that post  ☞HERE. If I get some pre-sales locked down and if I can get the timing right with the printer this design might evolve into a shirt in time for the series.  As of now though it’s still up in the air if I will print this considering the fall classic is yet to come.

Check back this week to see If it gets printed.

Hatch Show Print Tribute Typeface

I just finished this new typeface the other night.  I modeled it after an old electric company poster from the 1920′s.  This past summer I visited Nashville, TN which is home to one of the oldest and longest operating letterpress print shops in the country, Hatch Show Print.  Hatch Show Print opened it’s doors in 1879 and is still up and running today and it’s AWESOME!!  I bought their book while I was there and I really liked the type on this one poster, pictured below:

All hand carved woodblock letters and posters were considered disposable back then so beautiful designs like this one was just chopped up after the job was done and turned into smaller designs or shelves.  Learn more about Hatch Show Print and Letterpress printing HERE.  There’s a great video and a look at historical posters.
